2,4, 6-triphenylpyran tetrafluoroate can be prepared by one-step reaction of acetophenone and benzaldehyde.
under the protection of nitrogen, the mixture of acetophenone (24.0g,0.2mol), benzaldehyde (10.6g,01mol) and BF3 · Et2O(3.0mL) was heated to 100 ℃ for 2 hours. Cool to room temperature, add appropriate amount of ether, precipitate, filter and wash with ether, dry to obtain yellow crystals with 65% yield.
